Paul Walter Hauser cast in The Fantastic Four

Paul Walter Hauser has signed up for ‘The Fantastic Four’.

Deadline confirmed the 37-year-old actor, who is known for playing Stingray in ‘Cobra Kai’, will be joining the upcoming Marvel movie in an unknown role.

Paul - who was also recently revealed to be appearing in Paramount’s ‘Naked Gun’ reboot - will be starring alongside Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (the Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (the Thing) and Julia Garner (the Silver Surfer) in the superhero flick, which is expected to hit cinemas on 25 July 2025 - marking the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Six.

As work begins on the picture, Ebon recently revealed he and his co-stars are getting to know each other.

During an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, he told the host: “Pedro started a group text a couple days ago. I have his number, so it says Pedro Pascal, and then there’s two +44 [the U.K. country code] numbers.

“I don’t know which one’s Vanessa and which one is Joseph. But everybody said something! Everyone’s put a little image or a sticker or a gif or something out there, so people are invested, I guess? No one’s being coy! Everyone showed up. It’s nice, it’s nice.”

Meanwhile, Joseph dismissed the idea of superhero fatigue setting in with general audiences, and insisted he had faith director Matt Shakman will deliver an enjoyable movie.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he said: “I think that with the story of ‘The Fantastic Four’, it feels like we want to get this right. There are aspects of it that are very different to other Marvel films. That felt very compelling to me. And again, going back to who's involved, Matt, of course, the director, I think is brilliant, and the cast, and I've read it and the script is brilliant. It's really brilliant. I'm delighted to have this opportunity.

“Superhero movies are movies about people. And if we're invested in the people and the characters and the peril and the spectacle, then that's why people go to the theatres to watch films. We're not just in a penny; we're in for a pound with this one. We're going to go for it.”
