Sound of Silence (Mandarin w EST)
Lawyer Li Qi (played by Tan Jianci), who is of gray morality, gets entangled in a fraud case involving deaf people due to his greed. Born into a deaf family, he abandons his deaf roots for fame and fortune. A trial of morality and conscience thus unfolds. This film is partly based on the real-life experiences of lawyer Zhang Qi, who is proficient in sign language.
