Meg 2 is an upcoming science fiction film based on the 1999 book The Trench by Steve Alten. Serving as a sequel to the 2018 film The Meg. The story continues as we follow rescue diver Jonas Taylor’s (Jason Statham) encounter with a 75-foot-long megalodon shark. While in the depths of the Marianas trench, the team is sabotaged by a rogue mining operation and must figure out a way to survive and battle new foes - creatures and humans alike.
