Eric Clapton: Across 24 Nights movie poster

Eric Clapton: Across 24 Nights

The film features 17 hits from across his repertoire showing Clapton at his most exhilarating, collaborating with musicians of the highest calibre. There are unique versions – played with the orchestra conducted by Michael Kamen or his Rock band including Nathan East, Greg Philinganes and Chuck Leavell - of longstanding hits including ‘Wonderful Tonight’, ‘Layla’, ‘White Room’ and ‘Cocaine’ as well as rare treats such as performing Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door with Phil Collins. Eric Clapton shares the stage with legendary Blues musicians such as Albert Collins and Buddy Guy for classics such as ‘Black Cat Bone’ and ‘My Time After a While’, his enjoyment and admiration for their performances shining through. For the Orchestral set, he collaborates with Michael Kamen who orchestrates the music and conducts the National Philharmonic Orchestra and features his haunting theme to ‘Edge of Darkness’ written for an orchestra but never recorded by Clapton. The range and scope of Clapton’s musical ambition is breath-taking, justifying the 24 Nights concerts’ reputation as the Holy Grail for Eric Clapton fans.
